REVOLUTIONIZING NEUROSCIENCE

Similar in scale to the Human Genome Project, the award winning Allen Brain Atlas comprises cellular resolution in situ hybridization images with comprehensive anatomic coverage through an integrated platform of powerful data search and visualization tools that have fundamentally changed and advanced scientific research.

FIVE’s Carey Renn led the effort to create the Allen Brain Atlas technological platform, user interaction model, visualization tools and database requirements as well as serving on the steering and launch committee for the Allen Institute for Brain Science. She formed a world class design and development team and brought new processes and methods to bear on this complex, never-before-done project. Carey’s unique background and passion for bold, innovative, world changing work allowed her to be part of one of the most driven and committed teams toward the completion of a world changing initiative.
